Just finished learning a new technique. Embossing. I doubt I will ever remember how to do it again so don't expect to see it too often.

Westminster Abbey
This is Dad when he sang at Westminster Abbey. I think he would have been about 10 or 11 which would make the year 1923. He used to tell us that they used to pull the feathers out of the cushions when they were rehearsing and put them over the knot hole in the floor and watch them rise up with the draught under them. So I have put a feather in the bottom left hand corner.

Christchurch Weekend with Sandra and Wayne
I spent the weekend with Sandra and Wayne. Wayne is working down there so knew the best places to take me to see the absolute devastation that there has been. It is amazing just how much work has been done to slowly get the city back to normal. But there is still a long way to go. Very sad to see entire streets just abandoned and what were once homes just looking so lost.

Weekly challenge ' Surprise '
This weeks challenge word on Daisytrail.com is Surprise. The photo is from the net but it reminded me of when my children were little and Dad used to get them to sit on a balloon and then took great delight in popping them. He thought it was hilarious. I guess the kids enjoyed it too.

Pukekura Park, New Plymouth NZ
This was taken at Pukekura Park while we were having lunch and deciding what to do next. It takes time and several cups of tea to make a decision.

Pam Ayers Trip Nov 2011
This was a trip away to New Plymouth with all the girls to see Pam Ayers. We had a great time and all enjoyed ourselves. The background photos were taken in Pukekura Park in New Plymouth and the main photo was taken in Wanganui where we stopped to have lunch on the way home.
